Puma Football invites everyone to score goals in their official website. The interactive platform allows you to choose your own shoes, your celebration and even a soundtrack. The animations were produced here, in Birdo, besides other studios from all over the globe.

Grendene: Hello Kitty

Another job well done! The charactors in the new Hello Kitty Grendene shoes commercial were animated here in Birdo Studio.

Resfest 10

RESFEST10 is the 10th year anniversary edition of the renowned film and digital arts festival, and Birdo Studio just produced the title animation for the brazilian edition, which takes place this month in São Paulo, in collaboration with art director/illustrator Rafael Grampá, who also created the graphic pieces for the festival.

Birdo at Senac

From march to june 2007, Luciana Eguti and Paulo Muppet, animation directors at Birdo Studio will be on charge of the discipline "Concepts and Principles of Digital Animation" in the Digital Production course at Senac (website in portuguese only). The discipline has a practical focus and the students will have the opportunity of getting in touch with the exclusive methods of a studio specialized in digital character animation. Senac is one of the fastest growing educational institutions in Brazil.

Cable Europe

Another job for the european market "Cable Europe" is an institutional video for the cable operator of the same name. The video, directed and composed by Amir Admoni shows the technology evolution since its inception in the late 40's in the USA.

Fresh from the festivals

Yet another project animated by Birdo Studio is building a nice career in film festivals.
"That Guy", a short movie directed by Rafael Coutinho, based on a comic by brazilian cartoonist Laerte, has just been selected for the brazilian edition of Resfest, adding up to a ever growing festival list that includes Anima Mundi 2006, the Festival Internazionale Cinema d'Animazione e Fumetto - Dervio, the 13th Vitória Cine Vídeo, the 8th Londrina Film Festival, among others .
If you´re in São Paulo this month, you can check its screenings at the "Movie and Comics" festival that will take place at Centro Cultural São Paulo. More info (in portuguese) here.

New "Mobsquad" reel now online!

A clip with scenes of the 13 episodes of the Mobsquad series is aleady online inside our portfolio link. The series was produced for MTV Asia in colaboration with dutch director Fons Schiedon.
With a mix of live-action, cut-out, 2D and 3D animation, the work shows new ways that the digital medium opens for animation.

International Festival of Videodesign

Birdo Studio was invited to showcase in the 4th ViedRAM International festival
of Videodesign, that took place in Rome, on September 9th. Our Demo reel
was selected among hundreds of studios worldwide.
Organized by IED - Istituto Europeo di Design, ViedRAM was conceived to be an international observatory of the experimental and creative innovations in the contemporary videodesign production.

More Nickelodeon spots

After the production of the TV spots packages for the shows "Nick Cine", "Nick
vs Nick" and "Internick", Birdo Studio has just finished in collaboration with Cappuccino/Hzta the series of spots "Meus Prêmios Nick". The film shows a neon lighted city and features an elegant and goofy microphone as the main character. They are already on air in Latin America.

TYGER in Canada

In addition to winning the prize for best direction at the international animation festival Animamundi, the short film "Tyger" which had Guilherme Marcondes for the direction and Birdo Studio for the character animation was one of the 16 films selected for the competitive showing of Ottawa's international animation festival. The short film also opened the July Issue of the prestigious publication about animation "Stash".

Mobsquad awarded in Asia

The multimedia communication platform "MTV Mobbed" was named as "Best Mobile Phone Application" in the Asian MobileNews Awards, on the June 21st in Singapore. An important element of the "Mobbed" package is the "Mobsquad" animation series, whose characters, created by dutch designer and director Fons Schiedon are animated by Birdo Studio. Televisioned in 7 countries by MTV Asia - including Australia, India and Singapore - the series, sponsored by Motorola, tells the urban adventures of three friends whose main activity is disfunctional behaviour.
